Step 1:
Use your finger to open the disinfection chamber door (1). Check for and remove any debris or obstructions inside. Please don't reach down with your hands or tools to avoid damage or injury.
If there is something stuck inside that cannot be reached:
Step 2:
Loosen the two recessed screws on the right side of Swift UV's main housing with a Phillips screwdriver and rotate the main housing open (2).
Step 3:
Turn the power switch located on the right of the disinfection chamber to the "OFF" (O) position (3).
Step 4:
Loosen the two Phillips screws to the right go the disinfection chamber and rotate the fan duct out to the right to allow the chamber to swing out to the left (4).
Step 5:
If debris is below the elevator, you can retrieve it by reaching underneath the chamber or it may fall out when you swing the chamber out. It might also be in the bottom lip of the unit when you swing the chamber out.
Step 6:
If debris or residue remains inside the chamber and can't be reached from the top or bottom, open the chamber by rotating it back to its original position and securing the two Phillips screws on the right (5).
Step 7:
Press the left side of the chamber at the locations marked "PRESS" toward the center to release the two tabs holding the front and rear together. The front half should now swing open to the right (6).
Step 8:
Clear any remaining debris or obstructions. If the inside of the chamber is dirty, clean with a 70/30 isopropyl alcohol mixture.
Step 9:
Reverse the previous steps to close the disinfection chamber, ensuring the chamber snaps into place. turn the unit "ON" (I). Close the main housing and tighten the two screws on the right side.
Step 10:
Test and ensure the Swift UV performs a disinfection cycle without further issues.
